Economic Diplomacy Deputy
The department under the administration of the deputy minister of foreign affairs for economic diplomacy manages and coordinates the Ministry’s all efforts to pursue the nation’s economic interests all around the world. Furthermore, it seeks to harmonize and align the policies and measures adopted by the different executive bodies of the government in this sphere.
The different sections administered by the deputy minister collaborate diligently with the Ministry’s regional bureaus and the Islamic Republic of Iran’s embassies and consulates abroad to establish or promote mutually-beneficial economic ties with other countries and to expand trade of goods and services, investment, energy exports, technology transfer, transportation and so on, all focused on securing the nation’s economic interests overseas and improving the economic situation at home.
Additionally, an essential part of our diplomatic mission to promote the nation’s prosperity and advancement is to assist the Iranian businesses, entrepreneurs and workers engaged in business activities abroad.
