Safari added that there is a huge capacity for boosting exports of non-oil goods to African countries especially the knowledge-based products, medicine and medical equipment and services, food products and equipment, construction materials and technical as well as engineering services.
Safari further stressed the need to change views on Africa and pay attention to the many and varied opportunities available on the continent for Iran's economy in various fields, including the export of various technical and engineering services and providing Africa with technical and professional training.
He added that the Foreign Ministry and the embassies of the Islamic Republic of Iran are seriously pursuing the expansion of economic cooperation with African countries in all areas in order to support businesspeople and companies that are capable of exporting goods as well as technical and engineering services to Africa.
Safari said that "diplomacy of skill” can play an important role in promoting economic diplomacy, noting that in the past year, in the form of a win-win economic cooperation with Africa, several training courses were organized in technical and professional fields, health, production of human and animal vaccines, car manufacturing and fisheries for African students. According to the Iranian deputy foreign minister, currently, a car maintenance training course with the participation of representatives from seven West African countries is being held by the Iranian Technical and Vocational Organization .
Safari said during the training course that started within the framework of the development cooperation plan of Iran on February 24, 2024, a delegation of 25 people, consisting of students from seven West African countries, will learn advanced technical topics in the field of car maintenance for two weeks.
